Easter Egg Hunt at Croke Park Stadium

I bought tickets for Joe to take all the children to an Easter egg hunt/tour at Croke Park Stadium. We were leaving for Italy in two days so I needed the day to take my mother to run errands and make sure she was organized before we left. They took the bus down towards town and walked to Croke Park. It looks like K took most of the pictures on this outing.

They took a tour all over the stadium and saw many sites that you would not normally see. The tour was at a kids level and with a twist of having to find a hidden coin at each different location. It started with a riddle that the children had to solve and that would tell them where they had to go next. Then the riddle would also give a clue as to where the coin might be hidden.

L happy because she found a PURPLE jersey!
They went through things like the dressing room, warm-up room, press box and the tunnel the players take out to the field. In the end the children found all the coins and their prize was an Easter Egg to take home. They also got to go through the museum a bit and see the original Sam Maguire Cup. The children had a lot of fun seeing the stadium and all three of them found different coins.

The day before Joe arrived was my birthday. I honestly was so sick with a sinus infection I really did not enjoy it at all. Luckily my doctor at home had given me an extra prescription of a steroid and drug just in case I needed it in Ireland. I was sooo thankful I had it! It was a lifesaver! I received many cards from friends and family for my birthday and an incredible package from my best girlfriends at home. It was full of my favorite things - stationary, chocolate, easter decorations for the house, Easter jellies, and two Pandora beads. They got me a friendship scroll bead and a cuppa tea bead - it was a tea cup on a saucer! PERFECT! I loved it all!

T's school published a book a few weeks ago. Each class had a different theme - poems, short story, etc. They had a little book release party at school and then the children each got to bring their copy home. T was very excited about his poem in the book.
L made an Easter Egg at school that she said she worked very hard on to make it beautiful.
Occasionally when we have gone out for treats we have been getting Cadbury Egg McFlurrys at McDonalds. These are amazing! I wish we had these in the US at Easter time!
