Road trip to Galway...with a few stops!

The next day we left early in the morning for our trip to the west coast (a whopping 2.5 hr drive coast to coast)! We took the southern route that goes through Ennis and we stopped there for lunch. Ennis is located in County Clare on the Fergus River. It was a cute little town. There are no real sites in Ennis. Its just a pretty drive through the countryside.

We stopped for lunch at The Market
We drove by Bunratty Castle which is outside of Limerick. It looks really neat. I might have to try and visit it someday. When I looked it up online it had lots of history...and we are all addicted to castles.

We arrived at the Cliffs of Moher. We were excited to bring the R family here for their first time. This is definitely one of our favorite sites in Ireland...along with many other things too! Coach A did a great job driving without managing to hit anything on the crazy roads to and from the cliffs. You can ask him about his driving experience the first day! ;-)

Its nice having friends with us to take family pictures!

It was so windy that day on the top! I was so nervous with
the children climbing over the barriers.

I love this sign!
K thought she was going to get blown over it was so windy
L feel asleep immediately when we got in the car after the Cliffs. It must of been all the switchbacks coming down. We pulled over quickly to take a few pictures of the scenery.

Then we did a quick 10 minute stop at Dunguare Castle just to take a few pictures.

The journey continues on to Galway....
