Dublin vs. Cork at Croke Park

The Saturday after Joe left I took the kids to another GAA game. They were all begging me to go to the next home game since they had enjoyed the first one so much. I ordered tickets online and I got row D midfield as best available...wow thats 4th row! The children are going to be estatic. Total €25 (children are €5). This is awesome being so close to a stadium. I could get used to this. We ate dinner beforehand and I told the children this time I was just buying them hot chocolate at the stadium (to keep warm). I filled up my purse with little snacks just in case they got hungry.
We ended up being first row! The first three rows were blocked off. We had one little downpour of rain but that was all. It would have been a perfect night if the Dubs had won, but they lost to Cork.
You gotta watch L in this video cheering for DUBLIN! Its great she can get into these games so much. She honestly follows the ball on the field.

Dublin 17-Cork 18

My little L loving the Dubs game!
K and T started an 8 week basketball clinic at St. Mary's secondary school down the road. T was so nervous about going and did not want to go. I told him he just had to go that day and see if he liked it. T has never played basketball in this kind of setting, so I knew he would be apprehensive about the whole thing. After 5 minutes he was having a blast. They first started off passing then running laps dribbling the ball. I had to chuckle inside because T did not realize he had to dribble the ball when he ran. T just ran with the ball as if he was playing rugby. It was funny! That evening when I was putting T to bed he told me he had so much fun at basketball and he could not wait to go back next week. Thank goodness since I had already paid for the clinic!!

K had a quarter final game for one of her cup games.  I'm starting to loose track of these different cup games. They are just played sporadically. They won 5-2 in the pouring pouring rain, and K scored a goal.  Maybe I should make her eggs and bacon every morning before a game! I think this was her best game she has played since December.

We also found out that my cousin's family had returned home from living in Australia for 2 years. I knew they had lived somewhere around Glasnevin before they moved, and one of their sons M is two days older then T. T and M had not seen each other in almost 4 years so they probably would not remember each other. My mother and I were putting two and two together after she talked to her sister and we realized M was also in 3rd class at T's school, but was placed in the other class. T thought it was so cool that my second cousin was in the other 3rd class. I ran into M's mother the other day after school, and we are going to try and get the boys together for a playdate. When M and T were young they honestly looked like twins. We have a few pictures of them together when they were younger.
