3 More Days…..

until I can hand Joe three children at the airport and head off to Greece ALONE! Just kidding! Were all looking forward to Joe coming in 3 days. The children are really starting to miss him lots! L misses him so much she apparently facetimed Joe while I was taking K and T to school…at 3.30 am US time. L had a full conversation with Joe and she kept asking him why it was dark and why he was in bed. (Hello its 3.30am!) Then L told Joe how Mommy took the kids to school but she left her phone at home by mistake…and why is it dark…why are you sleeping? When Joe told me that story I thought it was so funny. Joe was saying how he is surprised that has not happened more and that was the first time. Its hard to explain time zones to a three year old. Gotta love modern technology and my three year old who knows where facetime is on every device!
We finally got a little break from the rain this past weekend. K had two soccer games. She played with the U11 and U12 teams. The games were back to back on the same field..very convenient! K had one goal and three assists total for the two games. During halftime we went to the car so that L could warm up. T stayed at home…any chance he gets he wants to stay at home.
Miss Fashionista!
You might need your snow boots but I need my wellies!! Yucky mud!

T got his pen license in school! That means his handwriting is neat enough that he is allowed to use pen on all his work except for math. He was very excited to bring home his certificate.
This past weekend I took the kids to the National Aquatic center which is near our house. They have a big AquaZone for the kids. I kept telling them on the way there…its not like Great Wolf Lodge but they will have water slides, wave pool, lazy river, etc. L was so excited and kept saying in the car on the way there, "I'm just so excited Mommy."
After we paid to get in the lady at the desk said we had to wear swim hats. What? Apparently its a requirement. So I had to buy four swim hats at 2.50 each. My girls looked like little Amish girls. First they had bathing suits with a little skirt and then you add the blue swim hat…Amish! I had to wear one too but I made sure that I stayed away from all mirrors. Gosh only knows what I looked like with a swim hat! Thank goodness we did not know anyone at the pool. L had a great time in the little kiddie pool and the older two went off and did the slides and lazy river.
Before we left it started raining..surprise! We stopped and got an early dinner at McDonalds and then went home. We saw two more rainbows on our drive home.

  4. I also enjoy that T seems to have turned into a Dr Suess character now that he has a pen license.
