Powerscourt Waterfall

Today I decided to take a drive with the children to Powerscourt which is south of Dublin in the Wicklow Mountains. It was not
The gorgeous views on our drive
raining when we got up this morning so I figured we better take advantage of the day and do something outside. I set the garmin (navigation system) to take us to the Powerscourt Waterfall. I thought we would be taking the main highway through the city but apparently the garmin sent us the most backroads possible. I have to admit though it was a beautiful drive, lots of sheep, and many pulloff areas to take pictures. It was scary though at times on these little roads where there is barely enough room for 2 cars side by side. The sides of the road are all stone walls so I don't even have room to pull over a little to the left. I'm worried if I'm too much on the right side of the lane I'm going to rip of the side mirror from the car passing me the other way. Then the speed limit is 120

km/hr which is roughly 75 mph. If I go too slow then I have a line of cars behind me. If I go too fast then I'm going to die. Its a no win situation! Good news..is that we made it there safely but T was a little sick to his stomach by all the windy roads. What should have been a 30 minute drive took us almost an hour. We then found a picnic table and ate our lunch. Then we took a quick little hike over to the waterfall. There were many people parked at the waterfall (how did they find that parking lot?). When we got down to the cars there were two men with their classic 1959 cars. The children loved them and told them that their Daddy had a MG at home.
Then the children went and climbed on the rocks for awhile. K and T were climbing all over but L was a little hesitant but she was happy just climbing on the little rocks. Afterwards we went to the little playground that they had at the waterfall. Then we got back into the car to drive over to the Powerscourt Estate...

You can see K and T climbing the rocks
