Here is our home in Glasnevin, Dublin. We are about 20 minutes from the center of Dublin. We bought this house with my mother in the spring of 2012 and she moved in last summer. Previously she had been living in a tiny condo downtown. The economy was hit here very badly in 2007 and since then the average house has fallen 45% in value (ouch!).Which is the only reason we could afford buying in this area. We thought houses were expensive in northern Virginia...here they are outrageous! Glasnevin is a town with many families and lots of options for schools. My mother is also very close to several of her sisters which is nice so she does not have to drive very far.

This is the view looking slightly to the right. You can see K and L playing out in the green. Its very common to see little parks everywhere in neighborhoods. |

This is the strip that our house is on. We are located a couple units to the right. |
So far the children have had a great time playing outside with all the other children. They love the Irish accents. T has already met two boys that will be going to the same school as him. K has become friendly with a few of the girls a couple doors down and L has made friends with all the dogs in the neighborhood.
The children have done pretty well this week but have had their moments due to lack of sleep. We are all still trying to get over jet lag. Today I had to wake T up at 11am just to get him moving and on a better schedule. We have skyped Joe several times and the children definitely do miss him. We're counting down the weeks until Joe comes for 10 days. Hopefully he is not bringing too much "stuff" or we will not be able to fit it in the house.

So nice, Michaela! Now I can picture where you will be spending your days.
