This past Saturday evening we went to mass at Corpus Christi in Drumcondra.
This is the parish church that is connected to K's school. Her school is located right behind the church (I will take pictures of that another day). This was built in the early 1940's in a Art-Deco style. It was built during hard times in Ireland when many families were moving outside of the city centre. Every little neighborhood has their own church. This church has 2000 homes in its boundary and 7000 members. When I did a search on my phone there were 10 possible Catholic Churches we could go to mass at within 1 mile of our house. Crazy! The churches used to be built so big because they were packed for every single mass on Sundays. Unfortunately that is not the case now. You will see occasionally a church of Ireland - which is the Anglican-Protestant church. But for the most part there are mainly Catholic Churches in Ireland.

Inside the Dome of the Church |
On Sunday we still slept in late except for L of course! I think L is the only one who has been able to maintain a normal schedule unlike the rest of us. The children have been having a great time playing in the park across the street. K even played a little pick up soccer ("football") with some of the older boys. In the afternoon we went over to a little shopping center to go to the grocery store and look for some type of baskets to organize our bedrooms. Its harder then you think for the 4 of us to move into two tiny bedrooms. I don't know where Joe is going to put his things when he comes to visit...still trying to figure that out. The kids are loving face timing Joe especially L who likes to carry the ipad all over the house showing Joe everything. What would we do without technology? She did though have a very hard time one night and was crying to Joe...she misses her Daddy very much. It breaks my heart and then makes me doubt if we are doing the right thing or not. But then I talk to K and T and they are excited about school starting late next week. We got their uniforms, books, and supplies so they are ready!
