Dublin Zoo and St. Anne's Park

Yesterday my Aunt M (my mothers youngest sister whom I was named after) took me and the three children to the Dublin Zoo. This was a treat for us as the zoo here is very expensive. We packed a picnic for all of us and headed into town. L was so excited to see the animals! We arrived after a heck of a time trying to find parking in Phoenix Park...which is the normal here. The children had a great time walking around and watching the animals.
The Dublin Zoo opened in 1831.
The original Zoo Lodge built in 1833.
One of L's favorite animals!
One of the original buildings

Yes..that is L milking a cow! She was loving this water feature.
I could not stop laughing at this!

After we left the zoo my aunt drove us over to St. Anne's Park to let the kids have a run around at the playground. This is a beautiful park that I have never been to before...at least as far as I can remember. I will have to come back here again with the children because they have great trails and a nice tea house.
