A Day with Cousins and Malahide Castle

Yesterday we drove over to Swords where my cousin A and K live. A is the daughter of my mother's oldest sister. This is where we usually stay when we come to visit. The children were so excited to see their cousins - D-8yrs, H-8 yrs, L-5yrs, R-3 yrs. They are technically my third cousins (so my cousin A's - daughter's children) Did you get all that? A's children are both my age. Its amazing that these children have not seen each other in 2 years and yet they can just pick up where they left off. It's like no time has gone by. We packed a quick picnic and all got into two cars and drove over to the Malahide Castle playground.
This is Malahide Castle which is actually one of the oldest castles in Ireland. Its a beautiful park and many trails. Last time we were here we did the tour of the castle.
The european signs everywhere

The boys doing the zip line at the park

T and H decided they went faster if they got on it together
After the children all played for awhile with it raining on and off the whole time we went back to Swords. K (cousin-in-law) made us all a lovely dinner and homemade chips (french fries). The children all played in the back garden until it was time to leave. It was a fun day hanging out with K and A's whole family.
