Mont-Saint-Michel - Dinner on the Mount!

We decided to get dinner on the island since we had walked past many cute restaurants earlier in the day. We had a little rest and Joe had to take some work calls. Then we took the minibus back over to Mont-Saint-Michel.
The village looked really cool at night all lit up. It was Halloween night so it was kinda fun being out at night in a medieval town.

This was the extent of our Halloween costumes!
We did a quick walk through around the parish church of St. Peter, the fisherman. This is a small 15th century church. However they did a 19th century refurbishment, that placed emphasis on St. Michael. We have a God-daughter named after St. Michael so again we lit a candle for her and prayed for MRC. Joe and I have 6 God-daughters and we were at sites in France for 3 of them (for their first name patron saints). How cool is that? ;-)

Next we headed back down to the restaurant to see if it was open. Most places do not open until 7pm for dinner…we were always the first ones in the door at any place for dinner. We're the Americans who eat dinner early!

Where is Joe?
We ate dinner at la Confiance and we had an excellent meal. At least Joe, T, L, and I. K is so picky so she had her typical eggs and french fries. The restaurant was so warm and cozy and our table was right next to the fireplace = Heaven! I can't remember what Joe ordered but T had a big bowl of seafood soup and he LOVED it! I ordered mussels and french fries. Everything here comes with french fries. It was the biggest bowl of mussels ever and covered in this gorgeous cider butter sauce.
This restaurant was so cute!

After our dinner we walked back to the minibus to go back to our hotel for the night.

We had a cute little room in this hotel. One half was a double bed and the other half had to twin beds and then a set of stairs to a bed upstairs. K called the top level right away, and T and L were happy to sleep next to each other!

Tomorrow we are off to the Loire Valley…...
