The cliffs rise 400 feet above the Atlantic Ocean and at some areas 700 feet. This is the most popular tourist attraction in Ireland. It is located in the Burren region of County Clare. It was a fairly sunny day but still a little misty. For years you could walk right up to the cliff but after numerous fatal accidents they have put up walls and added "rangers" - volunteers to answer questions and make sure no one jumps off. The wind gusts can be very sudden, strong, and deadly.

We were so thirsty after our walk so we went into the shops to have a quick drink and bite to eat. They have a nice visitors center inside. They have built all this into the side of the hill.
