Home Farm FC

This past Sunday K had a soccer "football" scrimmage against another team in her club that were 2 years older. This was her first time playing a game with this team so she was a little apprehensive. On Friday night we picked up her practice "kit" uniform. They have practice uniforms...seriously. Actually they have a whole Home Farm FC store. This club is based in Whitehall, Dublin and was founded in 1928. Apparently this club is known for its youth system and has produced dozens of players that have gone to play in the English premier club, World Cup, and Ireland leagues.

She had her game on the fields near our house and luckily I knew where they were because remember I went there accidentally for her first practice.

I guess people here dont use chairs during the game. I noticed that also during the practice that everyone was standing and no chairs.
Home Farm lost the scrimmage 1-5 but they played girls two years older. I thought they played well but ran out of steam the second half. This team definitely needs to learn to pass and play positions. Many of the girls taking other peoples balls and etc. When we got back into the car K burst into tears and was just so upset after the game. She felt like no one wanted to pass her the ball.  I felt so bad for her because I know how hard this was to join a team not knowing anyone.
That evening was a rough one especially on K and L. They really missed their Daddy which broke my heart. Lots of tears that night. We skyped Joe that night at G&G C's house and they got to see everyone but it just ended in tears because they missed everyone. Thank goodness Joe will be here in 6 days.
