First Day of School at Corpus Christi

Today was K's first day of school at Corpus Christi GNS (Girls National School) in Drumcondra. We visited the school on Wednesday and she got to meet her teacher and see the classroom. The staff and everyone was so nice and accommodating. Again we were not asked for any additional paperwork! Seriously this is nuts. 
The school building was old..and when I say old...I mean OLD! The cornerstone on the building is from 1931. The school has been in the same building since 1931! Crazy! I think I just need to get used to the idea that everything over here is OLD.

K was up this morning at 6am fully dressed for school (school does not start here until 9am!). She was so excited and has been waiting all week for the first day of school. I dropped K off first and walked her to the paved blacktop area. They have numbers marked on the blacktop and the children all line up by their classroom number. I just left here there because I then had to get T over to his school also by 9am. Luckily the schools are near each other.

Now I am off to take L to meet her preschool teachers at her new montessori school.
